the purchase of Hoover-Hanes Rubber Custom Mixing Corporation in Tallapoosa,
GA,
Robbins CustoMix now offers state-of-the-art mixing, calendering, extrusions,
and auto clave curing as well as dedicated color mixing lines.
- Krupp GK-250 E intermeshing rotor mixer that achieves significant improvement in quality by providing rapid heat transfer and an extremely favorable volume-to-cooling area ratio thus meeting the requirements of those temperature-sensitive compounds. It also provides enhanced dispersion and distribution resulting in higher and more consistent quality for any formulation.
- A #11 dedicated color mixer.
- A #11, #12, #270, and #370 black mixing units with metal detection.
- Off line straining capabilities.
- Dynamic Air carbon black handling system offering better carbon black pellet integrity complementing the weigh-up system to meet critically tight weighment specifications needed in those sophisticated rubber hydrocarbon compounds.
- State-of-the-art laboratory equipment assuring mixed products meets the customers’ specifications.
- · Rubber calender available for processing sheet rubber products up to a maximum of 66” wide.
- A 9’ x 50’ indirect steam autoclave to meet special curing needs.
